Video Consultation
You’re welcome to consult with me on any topic related to your child’s room or nursery design project. Before the consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to complete a pre-call questionnaire where you can share any questions or dilemmas you might have about your project.
During the consultation, you can choose the areas you want to discuss, and I’m here to provide personalized advice and guidance on any of those topics.
Popular topics I cover during consolation calls include furniture placement, tricky layouts, color palettes, furniture and decor selection, paint and wall coverings, window treatments, and more.
My consultation aims to provide you with a comprehensive and personalized design plan for your child’s room or nursery. The consultation process involves three steps:
Step 1: Pre-Call Questionnaire
After you’ve made the payment, I’ll send you a link to a pre-call design questionnaire. This will allow you to provide me with a floor plan, images of the room, style preferences, and any questions or dilemmas you might have about your project.
Step 2: Video Consultation Call
Click the Google Meet link in your confirmation email at the scheduled time to join the video conference. During our one-hour session, we’ll work through your questions and discuss design options that meet your style and budget.
Step 3: Post-Meeting Summary and Personalized Board
After the meeting, I’ll send you a follow-up email summarizing the key points discussed during the call.
In addition, I’ll share a Milanote board that includes all the topics that we covered during the call (an example of some could be design inspiration, colors, links to recommended furniture and decor, etc.)
This online board will allow you to easily access and review all the materials discussed during our session.
I hope this three-step process gives you an idea of what to expect from my consultation. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
The cost for a 1-hour video consultation is $147. During this time, we’ll discuss your interior design goals, preferences, and any other relevant topics. If you’d like to continue the consultation beyond the first hour, each additional hour is priced at $100.
I have a passion for interior design, and I’m proud to say that I have the knowledge and experience to help you create the perfect space for your child. In 2020, I earned my Interior Design Certificate from the New York Institute of Art and Design, which has equipped me with the skills and techniques needed to excel in the industry.
Additionally, I own a kid’s decor shop called Teepee Joy, which has allowed me to work with hundreds of parents since 2017 on their interior design projects. I’ve gained valuable insights from this experience, and I’m excited to bring my expertise to your project as well.
While I can definitely help you find the general direction of your child’s room design and provide recommendations on any topics you’re interested in, I don’t create a full mood board or complete design plan during the consultation. My goal is to offer personalized guidance and advice to help you create a space that suits your needs and preferences. If you’re interested in a more comprehensive service, I do offer a full room design service, which includes a complete design plan, mood board, shopping list, and 3D room rendering. You can check it out here.
Once you book a consultation, I will send you a confirmation email with a link to a Google Meet video call. During the video call, we will discuss your design goals, preferences, and any other relevant topics. I will also be using an app called Milanote.
Milanote is an app that will help us collaborate effectively during the consultation. I use it to save and organize design inspiration, colors, links to recommended furniture and decor, and any other relevant information we cover during the call.
After the consultation, I will share a PDF file of the Milanote board so you can refer to it whenever necessary. This will ensure you have all the information you need to implement my design recommendations effectively.
Absolutely! As part of the consultation, I’m happy to provide shopping tips and recommendations for furniture and decor. I can suggest stores, brands, and prices that align with your budget and style preferences. Just let me know what you’re looking for, and I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction.
Full-Room e-Design Service
Not at all! I can work with you on any budget. When planning, consider my cost of design plus the amount you are willing to pay for the furniture and decor
Traditional (in-person) interior design is very helpful in navigating the design process. However, due to cost, location, or timeline, it’s simply not an option for everyone.
Thankfully, in this digital and video-conferencing age, you can enjoy the same perks of professional interior design for your budget, from anywhere, and on your schedule.
My interior design process is completely online! I collaborates with you online, customizing a design based on your room’s dimensions, your ideas, and the atmosphere you wish to create for your child.
Online interior design is right for you if:
- You want a more affordable alternative to traditional interior design
- You want a design service that collaborates online on your schedule
- You want to see your child’s in a full floorplan and realistic 3D rendering
- You want to easily and directly order your chosen furniture and decor
The two biggest differences between traditional vs. online interior design are the collaboration method and pricing.
With traditional interior design, you collaborate in person, which means you have to compare schedules and coordinate in-person consultations. With our fully online platform, I collaborate with you via emails and video calls, allowing you to work around your schedule.
Transparent pricing is another significant advantage online interior design has over traditional forms. Most traditional interior designers charge by the hour and mark up the price of furniture and decor pieces they recommend.
My transparent pricing structure shows exactly what you’ll pay upfront- no surprise fees! It also enable you to easily purchase directly from the biggest brands to ensure you don’t overpay.
Online interior design saves you time and money without sacrificing quality. You still work one-on-one with an expert designer (me!) that will help you make your dream room a reality.
Designing your child’s room is as easy as 1-2-3 with MagnifiNest:
- You share your style, ideas, and budget by completing a short questionnaire, along with photos of your room.
- Receive 2 concept boards with a range of products and ideas based on your questionnaire responses.
- Collaborate with me (your designer) online. I work with you until you are 100% satisfied with your design and product selections.
- After we collaborate and you settle on a final design, you will receive your design board, shopping list, layout/floor plan, and a video walkthrough.
You’ll work one-on-one with me (Lee), your dedicated designer through emails and video calls.
While other online design services are available, I specializes in children and nursery rooms interior design. Designing comfortable, safe, and beautiful kids rooms is what I do… and I do it very well.
I also have a unique advantage that no other design service does, and that’s our sister company, Teepee Joy. Teepee Joy is my 5-star-rated children’s decor shop where we handmake and ship dozens of decor items every day right here in the U.S.
From customized blackout curtains and throw pillows to teepees and wall art, all products are designed by our digital designers and made to order by our in-house seamstresses.
All of the furniture I recommend comes from familiar brands like Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Pottery Barn, and alike. But with our sister company, some of your decor accessories can be made and customized in-house (at a discount!).
So, you can not only get a custom-designed room but also custom-designed products for your child’s room. You can get the exact colors, patterns, shapes, and themes you imagined, making your little one’s room a masterpiece to be proud of.
With my design package, you receive access to a personal dashboard where you can review your customized concept boards and design ideas.
After collaborating and settling on a final design, you will receive a shopping list with links to all the furniture and decor items for your child’s room. You can purchase some or all of the items directly from the retailer whenever you are ready.
You also receive a layout/floorplan of the final design and a video walkthrough to explain your final design and show you how to set it up once your items arrive.
I do not offer access to trade sources (and that’s a good thing!). Most designers use trade sources because it allows them to mark up the prices and receive a cut from your furniture and decor purchases.
I give you the links to purchase directly through the retailers, on your own time, in your own way. This not only ensures you’re paying market value but also enables you to purchase items in phases if need be.
That’s all part of the collaborative process! After you receive your 2 concept board options, you will be asked to provide feedback and I will make adjustments as needed. I offer unlimited revisions during the process to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your final room design.
Once your design is finalized, I send your design concept and a shopping list with all of the links for your chosen items. Purchasing any or all of your items is as simple as clicking “add to cart.”
The design video walk-through is a favorite among my clients! When you receive the final design files, you will also receive a design walk-through video that I record and shares with you through your dashboard.
The video gives you a final walk-through of your finalized design. It serves as an installation guide on how to organize the room with all of your existing and newly selected furniture and decor.
Once I finalize your design, you receive a shopping list with links to all of the items in your design. You simply “add to cart” and arrange the items in your child’s room as discussed while collaborating with me.
You will also receive a layout/floor plan of your final design and a video walkthrough on how to set it up in your child’s room.
It’s a fast process, especially compared to traditional design services! From the time you select your package to receiving your final design is approximately 2-3 weeks in total. It can take you that long just to get an appointment with an in-person designer!
Absolutely not! Once I finalize your design, you are free to complete the project however you wish. Whether that’s through shopping directly through the provided links, further customizing some of the decor through us (with our sister store Teepee Joy), shopping for similar items locally, or taking a DIY approach.
You’re free to do as you wish with your room design!
Things come up in life, situations get altered, or sometimes we just change our minds. I will provide a full refund if you change your mind within 90 days of your purchase and before submitting your design questionnaire. After 90 days, or once you have initiated the design process by submitting your design questionnaire, I can no longer provide a refund.
Definitely! I can incorporate heirloom pieces, existing furniture, or pre-selected items into your design. Just be sure to let me know right away.
For your convenience, all of the stores I source furniture and decor from offer online retail. So, you can shop the products directly through their online stores.
I source from a variety of big brands and big-box retailers as well as small online retailers and small boutique business owners. This gives you the best unique recommendations based on your budget for your child’s room.
